EASA Form 1
EASA Form 1 is the European authorised release certificate confirming that a part has been produced or maintained by an approved organisation.
It performs the same role in Europe as FAA Form 8130-3 does in the United States, identifying the part, the work carried out and the approval under which it was released.
Cross-acceptance between the two authorities is common but not automatic, and buyers frequently specify which release they require.
For European distributors and MROs, the release form a part carries directly determines which customers it can be offered to and at what price.
